That’s exciting! Apple is always innovating, and it’s great to see what new features they have in store for us this year. Here are 8 of the most anticipated iOS features expected to be released in 2024:
1.Stolen Device Protection:
This feature will make it much harder for thieves to steal your iPhone or iPad. It will use a combination of hardware and software to make it nearly impossible to bypass the lock screen, even if the device is wiped.
2.Collaborative Apple Music Playlists:
This feature will finally allow you to create and edit playlists with your friends. You’ll be able to add songs, remove songs, and change the order of songs in real time.
3.AirPlay on Hotel Room TVs:
This feature will let you easily AirPlay content from your iPhone or iPad to the TV in your hotel room. No more struggling with hotel room remotes or trying to figure out how to connect your device to the Wi-Fi.
4.App Sideloading in the EU:
This feature will allow users in the European Union to install apps from outside the App Store. This is a major change for Apple, which has always had a closed ecosystem for apps.
5.Next-generation CarPlay:
This feature will completely overhaul the CarPlay experience. It will be more deeply integrated with the car’s dashboard and will support multiple displays.
6.Roadside Assistance via Satellite:
This feature will allow you to call for roadside assistance even if you’re in an area with no cell service. This could be a lifesaver if you’re ever stranded on the side of the road.
7. This feature will finally bring RCS support to the Messages app:
This means that you’ll be able to send and receive high-resolution photos and videos, use read receipts, and more, even when you’re messaging someone on an Android device.

These are just a few of the new features that we can expect to see in iOS 17 and iOS 18 this year. I’m excited to see how these features will change the way we use our iPhones and iPads.
It’s important to note that some of these features may be released later in the year, and some may not be released at all. But it’s still fun to speculate about what Apple has in store for us!
